Matchless 1957 500 G80 CS. ''For Cross-Country Speed Events'' as Matchless described this So Rare UK model. Matchless would only sell these models in the UK if they were going to be used in competition. Original 1957 logbook and V5 registration document. 4 owners (have spoken with two of the previous owners so far..).. Last taxed 1976. original with optional QD lights and larger petrol tank...Have spoken to first owner who is 80 years old (He was amazed). He bought this Matchless in Jan. 1958, having been first registered in June 1957 and kept for six months by the well known supplying dealer - Claude Rye, Fulham Road, London-(I wonder who at Claude Rye rode this..!) The first owner told me he sold this matchless to buy a Norton International and regretted it as the Matchless was a far better motorcycle, he told me he always regretted selling this Matchless...Will show image and more information soon...
