I recently started to acquire motorcycles from the 1960s which I remember from my teens, motorcycles I could only dream about owning. I only earned £2.16s a week in 1963, I did manage to buy my one and only, brand new' motorcycle, in June 1966, a Ducat Elite, £213 - £40 deposit which took me ages to save for, and £6 a month on HP, my dad had to sign (he was not happy)- ''Yes, I was there'', I worked for motorcycle dealers in the 1960's and early 1970's. - Get the Picture !, In the mid 1990s I started to race and prepared my Honda RS125R Grand Prix motorcycle, I had my moments, a 1960's dream realised. My first race was at my favourite circuit Oulton Park. I grew up in the Cheshire countryside, only 30 mins. push-bike ride to Oulton Park. When at school I watched all the motorcycle road race legends at Oulton Park, nice push-bike ride down the country lanes, sneak over the wall to get in, those ''really'' were the days. I hope I can bring back some of the lovely 1960's and 1970's memories to you, and memories long gone by with the old British motorcycles offered.........
